Scott started his career in marketing at Scottish & Newcastle Breweries before moving south. He was a founding partner of the advertising agency GCCD, perhaps most famous for its work on Nike. The Agency was bought by Grey London and Scott appointed Creative Development Director before becoming Managing Director in the late 'eighties. He left Grey in 1995 to form the Cambridge Centre and in 1996 also became Chairman of CDP, a post he held until 2000.
With half of his business in the North and his children developing Essex accents, this Scotsman decided that a new century was the time to relocate to Newcastle, an area that becomes more culturally vibrant by the year. His drift northwards continued as the business moved to near Duns.
In setting up the Cambridge Centre, Scott decided he wanted to work with people he liked and respected; and it operates as an association of senior skills from all aspects of communications, research, business and human resources.
We work on strategy development, marketing planning and implementation, staff engagement, and senior team facilitation.
